Photography is one of the elements where stories can be told, and as one chapter slowly closes, another is soon to open. One of the biggest stories I want to capture, via digital photography, is the chapter of my decision to stop smoking. It is a large task that I am about to tackle, but it all began as a promise, a promise to myself and the man that I love. His role in this promise is just one of incentive, so why not add the bonus, but the grand prize belongs to me. In relation to photography, I will be capturing the essence of what it is like to withdraw and face the vice of smoking. I am hoping to capture a variety of expressions and moments of deep-thought, and the final product will be a mix of mediums, with photography being the exclusive element. This will also be my first serious self-portrait project, so I am excited and I can’t wait until it is all complete.
In the spirit of this project, I will allow the photo reply, and please post your favorite smoking photographs, if you would like.

This is me, Nika LeFemme. In the process of creativity, I have decided to delete my many blogs and focus on solely this very one, a new fresh step into the adventures of a newfound self. Let me tell you a little about myself…
I am a 27-year old photographer, amateur filmmaker, and student. My favorite style of photography is Black & White, and I love working with B/W digital, but I am not afraid of color, I drip myself in paint from time to time. I have many creative plans, and have most recently been documenting all of my ideas, thoughts, random word expressions, and doodles in journals, which has been the greatest thing I could have done, for a sane mind, and I sometimes have a tendency to forget many things in the process of thinking of new things. I have a wonderful support system; although, I am not rich, my family and friends have been so amazing and believe in anything I jump into. At this point in my life, I am extremely focused on a more narrow range of hobbies and tackles, with broad creative expansion, but I had taken on to much, and couldn’t keep up. Now I’m ready to dive back in, and invite you all to dive in with me.
So, LET’S DIVE IN…
